Μουσικό Φεστιβάλ Χίου μέσα στο Χειμώνα, 3 έως 8 Φεβρουαρίου 2020

Το Μουσικό Φεστιβάλ Χίου επιστρέφει για τέταρτη χρονιά στην καρδιά του χειμώνα, με πολλές και διαφορετικές μουσικές εκδηλώσεις.

Σε σχήματα των δύο ή των τεσσάρων, αναγνωρισμένοι σολίστ διεθνούς φήμης, αλλά και ομάδες με διαφορετικό καλλιτεχνικό υπόβαθρο, συνεργάζονται με αφορμή το Φεστιβάλ, και αυτές οι δυναμικές συμπράξεις είναι ο κοινός άξονας σε αυτό το φεστιβάλ που θα διαρκέσει από τις 3 έως τις 8 Φεβρουαρίου 2020.

Παράλληλα, το Μουσικό Φεστιβάλ Χίου συμμετέχει στο ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα SoundRoutes, που πραγματοποιείται στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος «Δημιουργική Ευρώπη» (2014 – 2020), μαζί με φορείς από την Ιταλία, το Βέλγιο και την Ισπανία με σκοπό τη δημιουργία μουσικών διαλόγων ανάμεσα σε μουσικούς που υπήρξαν πρόσφυγες ή μετανάστες.

Το Φεστιβάλ πραγματοποιείται σε συνεργασία με το Πολιτιστικό Ίδρυμα Allianz, με δωρεά του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος (ΙΣΝ), του Ομηρείου Πνευματικού Κέντρου Δήμου Χίου,του Δήμου Χίου και της AegeanAirlines.

Το πρόγραμμα SoundRoutesπραγματοποιείται με συγχρηματοδότηση από το πρόγραμμα «Δημιουργική Ευρώπη» της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.

Η είσοδος για όλες τις εκδηλώσεις είναι ελεύθερη.

2 μαγικές συναντήσεις στα γηροκομεία της Χίου

Δευτέρα 3 Φεβρουαρίου ώρα 16:30 Οίκος Ευγηρίας «Η Αγία Μαρίνα», Καρδάμυλα
Τρίτη 4 Φεβρουαρίου ώρα 10:30 Γηροκομείο Χίου «Ζωρζής Γ. Μιχαληνός»

Μετά την συνεργασία πέρυσι το χειμώνα του Μουσικού Φεστιβάλ Χίου με το πρόγραμμα θάλλω , το duo του Νότη Παρασκευόπουλου και της Κωνσταντίνας Μαλτέζου επιστρέφει για δύο δράσεις στα γηροκομεία της Χίου.
Μαζί τους θα συμπράξουν και πάλι μαθητές του Μουσικού Σχολείου Χίου. Το ρεπερτόριο θα στραφεί γύρω από την κλασική μουσική, ενώ ανάμεσα στα έργα θα παρεμβάλλονται γνωστά αποσπάσματα από έργα του Σαίξπηρ.

Η δράση αποτελεί μία πρωτοβουλία του Μουσικού Φεστιβάλ Χίου και υλοποιείται με την συνεργασία του Μουσικού Σχολείου Χίου και της seveneleven ομάδας θεάτρου.

Το πρόγραμμα θάλλω αποτελεί μία πρωτοβουλία της seveneleven ομάδας θεάτρου και υλοποιείται με ιδρυτική δωρεά από το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος (ΙΣΝ).

Τετάρτη 5 Φεβρουαρίου

Pianofor two: Beata Pincetić & Χρήστος Σακελλαρίδης: «EastmeetsWest»

Ομήρειο Πνευματικό Κέντρο Δήμου Χίου, ώρα 20:30 

Tο πιανιστικό ντούο «Pianofortwo» παρουσιάζει ένα δεξιοτεχνικό πρόγραμμα με έργα για πιάνο με 4 χέρια αλλά και σόλο, που καλύπτουν ένα ευρύ φάσμα ρεπερτορίου, ταξιδεύοντάς μας από την Ουγγαρία και τη Νορβηγία (J. Brahms και E. Grieg ) μέχρι την Άπω Ανατολή (Τ. Yoshimatsu).

Την ίδια ημέρα το πρωί, θα πραγματοποιηθεί εκπαιδευτική συναυλία, αποκλειστικά για μαθητές και παιδιά πρόσφυγες.

Chios: the crossing bridge 

Milad Khawam: τρομπέτα, ντουντούκ / G H A Y S: τραγούδι / AhmadHani, μπάσο / Salam Al Hassan: κρουστά

Ομήρειο Πνευματικό Κέντρο Δήμου Χίου, ώρα 21:00 

Οι τέσσερεις μουσικοί με ρίζες από τη Συρία και την Αίγυπτο, ο Milad και ο Salam με κλασικές και παραδοσιακές αραβικές μουσικές καταβολές, ο GHAYS, εκπρόσωπος της ποπ μουσικής κουλτούρας και ο Ahmad, ένας βιρτουόζος της τζαζ, ενώνουν τις δυνάμεις τους σε μια εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρουσα μουσική σύμπραξη.

Η καταγωγή τους, το ότι μένουν πλέον μόνιμα στη Γερμανία και ο μουσικός τους προσανατολισμός δεν είναι τα μόνα κοινά που μοιράζονται. Υπάρχει ακόμα ένας συνδετικός κρίκος που ενώνει δύο από αυτούς, τον Milad και τον GHAYSμε το Μουσικό Φεστιβάλ Χίου, και αυτός είναι το ότι πέρασαν πριν μερικά χρόνια από τη Μεσόγειο, από την Τουρκία στην Ελλάδα όταν άφησαν την χώρα τους για να ακολουθήσουν τα όνειρα τους και μια νέα ζωή γεμάτη μουσική και ειρήνη. Καταξιωμένοι και έχοντας πλέον αποκτήσει νέες ρίζες, επιστρέφουν στην Χίο, τον τόπο που σηματοδοτεί γι’ αυτούς την είσοδό τους στην Ευρώπη αλλά και σε μια νέα ζωή.

Με αυτή τη συναυλία εγκαινιάζεται η συμμετοχή του Μουσικού Φεστιβάλ Χίου στο ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα SoundRoutes/«Δημιουργική Ευρώπη» (2014 – 2020) στο πλαίσιο του οποίου προωθείται η κινητικότητα και η συνεργασία μεταξύ μουσικών που υπήρξαν πρόσφυγες ή μετανάστες. Πρόκειται για την πρώτη από έναν κύκλο δράσεων που θα ολοκληρωθούν το 2021.

Παρασκευή 7 Φεβρουαρίου

Ομήρειο Πνευματικό Κέντρο Δήμου Χίου, ώρα 20:30 

Το Μουσικό Φεστιβάλ Χίου εγκαινιάζει την επίσημη έναρξη της συνεργασίας του με την Κινηματογραφική Λέσχη Χίου, με δύο μουσικά ντοκιμαντέρ διάρκειας 50’ το καθένα. Θα προβληθούν οι ταινίες:

• ElSistema: Σώζοντας ζωές του Γιώργου Αυγερόπουλου
• Singing with Angry Birds του HyewonJee

Σάββατο 8 Φεβρουαρίου

Sebastian Manz& Sebastian Studnitzky Duo | «A Bernstein Story»

Ομήρειο Πνευματικό Κέντρο Δήμου Χίου, ώρα 21:00 

Αν και προέρχονται από δύο εντελώς διαφορετικούς μεταξύ τους μουσικούς κόσμους, ο Sebastian Manz και ο Sebastian Studnitzky μοιράζονται ένα βασικό κοινό χαρακτηριστικό: τη χαρά του μουσικού πειραματισμού. Ο Manz, κλαρινετίστας με κλασικό μουσικό υπόβαθρο, ο Studnitzky, διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένος πιανίστας και τρομπετίστας της τζαζ αποφάσισαν να συνεργαστούν σε ένα project-φόρο τιμής στον Bernstein. Μέρος του project αυτού που έχει ηχογραφηθεί και κυκλοφορήσει σε δίσκο θα παρουσιάσουν και στη συναυλία τους, κλείνοντας τις χειμερινές συναυλίες του Μουσικού Φεστιβάλ Χίου.

Εκπαιδευτικές δράσεις

Παράλληλα θα πραγματοποιηθούν οι καθιερωμένες εκπαιδευτικές δράσεις από τους καλεσμένους μουσικούς του Φεστιβάλ.

Οι πιανίστες BeataPincetić και Χρήστος Σακελλαρίδης θα πραγματοποιήσουν ένα piano masterclass για τους μαθητές του Μουσικού Σχολείου Χίου, μέσα από το οποίο θα μυήσουν τους μαθητές σε πρωτόγνωρους δρόμους της πιανιστικής τέχνης.

Οι τέσσερις μουσικοί, Milad Khawam, Ghays Mansour, Ahmad Hani και Salam Al Hassan θα πραγματοποιήσουν masterclasses για τους μαθητές του Μουσικού Σχολείου Χίου και τους μουσικούς της Φιλαρμονικής Δήμου Χίου αλλά κι ένα εργαστήριο για παιδιά πρόσφυγες.

Το πρωί του Σαββάτου 8 Φεβρουαρίου ο Sebastian Studnitzky θα πραγματοποιήσει ένα jazzmasterclass για σπουδαστές της μουσικής, ανεξαρτήτως επιπέδου και μουσικού οργάνου. Για τη συμμετοχή στο jazzmasterclass είναι απαραίτητη η αποστολή email στο contact@chiosmusicfestival.gr.

(Stronger together)

The Chios Music Festival returns for the fourth year in the heart of winter, with many different musical events and a common axis on dynamic partnerships. On the occasion of the festival, internationally acclaimed soloists, as well as groups with different artistic backgrounds, get together in ensembles of two or four. At the same time, the Chios Music Festival is pleased to announce its participation in the european SoundRoutes program, held in the framework of theCreative Europe (2014 – 2020) program, in which it participates along with Italy, Belgium and Spain, in order to create musical dialogues among musicians who have been refugees or migrants.

The Festival is realised in collaboration with the Allianz Cultural Foundation, with a grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), the Homer Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Chios, the Municipality of Chios and Aegean Airlines.

The SoundRoutesprogram is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

In all events the admission is free.

2 magical gatherings in nursing homes of Chios

Following the excellent collaboration of the Chios Music Festival with the programthallo, launched last winter, the duo of Notis Paraskevopoulos and Konstantina Maltezou return for two acts in Chios’s nursing homes. Students from the Chios Music School will once again join them, but this time the repertoire will focus on classical music, with well-known excerpts from Shakespeare’s plays inserted between the works.

The action is an initiative of the Chios Music Festival and is being implemented in collaboration with the Chios Music School and the seveneleven theatre company.

The thallo programis an initiative of the seveneleven theatre company and is being implemented with a founding grant by Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

Wednesday the 5^th of February

Piano for two: Beata Pincetić& Christos Sakellaridis: “East meets West”

Homerion Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Chios, at 20:30 

The piano duo “Piano for two” presents a masterful program of piano four hands and solo piano works, covering a wide range of repertoire, travelling us from Hungary and Norway (J. Brahms and E. Grieg) to the Far East (T. Yoshimatsu).

The same day, in the morning, an educational concert will be held exclusively for students and child refugees.

Thursday the 6^th of February

Chios: the crossing bridge

Homerion Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Chios, at 21:00 

The four musicians have roots in Syria and Egypt, Milad and Salam with classical and traditional Arabic backgrounds, G H A Y S, a spokesman for pop culture, and Ahmad, a jazz virtuoso, join forces in an extremely interesting musical partnership.

They are all based in Germany sharing their cultures and musical orientation. There is alsoanother link that connects Milad and G H A Y S,  with the Chios Music Festival, the fact that they have crossed the Mediterranean sea, from Turkey to Greece a few years ago when they had to leave their country in order to follow their dreams and gain a new life full of music and peace. After being distinguished for their music activities in Germany, and having obtained new roots, they are returning to Chios, the place that marks their entry into Europe and into a new life.

This concert launches the participation of the Chios Music Festival in the European program SoundRoutes/Creative Europe (2014 – 2020), which promotes mobility and cooperation between musicians who have been refugees or migrants. This is the first of a series of activities to be completed by 2021.

Saturday the 8^th of February

Sebastian Manz& Sebastian Studnitzky Duo: “A Bernstein Story”

Homerion Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Chios, at 21:00 

Although coming from two completely different worlds of music, Sebastian Manz and Sebastian Studnitzky share one key common trait: the joy of musical experimentation. Manz, a clarinettist with classical music backgrounds, Studnitzky, an internationally acclaimed jazz pianist and trumpeter, decided to work together on a tribute project to Bernstein. Part of this project, that has been recorded and released, will be presented at their concert, closing the winter concerts of the Chios Music Festival.

Educational activities

At the same time, educational activities by the invited musicians of the Festival will be taking place.

 Pianists Beata Pincetić and Christos Sakellaridis will perform a piano masterclass for students of the Chios Music School, through which they will introduce students to unprecedented avenues of the piano art.

The four musicians, Milad Khawam, G H A Y S: voice, Ahmad HaniandSalam Al Hassan will conduct masterclasses for students of the Chios Music School and the musicians of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Chios, as well as a workshop for child refugees.

On the morning of Saturday the 8^th of February, Sebastian Studnitzky will perform a jazz masterclass for students of music, regardless of level andinstrument.  To participate in the jazz masterclass please email: contact@chiosmusicfestival.gr.
